The music ministry of Bill and Ivy Jean Sky-Eagle has spanned the globe!  For 40+ years, these native Texans have been vocational Music Ministers.  During this time, Bill and Ivy Jean, and their daughter, Melissa, have traveled and ministered in word and in song on six continents.  Their warm, joyful blend of gospel music shares the Good News of Jesus Christ--Crucified, Risen, and Coming Again! Through their recordings, their music has been heard around the world.

In the United States, the Sky-Eagles have ministered in more than 1000 churches in forty states. Their music ministry includes revivals, crusades, Bible conferences, retreats, and concerts.  Internationally, the family has conducted evangelistic crusades and concerts in England and Scotland, Spain, Germany, Italy, Australia, the Netherlands, and Brazil.  They have also been featured as platform musicians for the Southern Baptist Convention, the Baptist General Convention of Texas, Southern Baptists of Texas Convention, Gideons International, and Glorieta Baptist Assembly, and many state and area conventions and evangelism conferences.

Bill Sky-Eagle, an enrolled member of the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians, says that he is "a Native American by race and a child of God by grace!"  Born in Temple, Bell County, Texas, he received his formal education at Paris (Texas) High School, Baylor University, Texas A&M University, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and the Theological University of America. He holds Bachelor of Arts and Master of Divinity degrees.  Bill was honored by inclusion in Who's Who In Religion and Who's Who In American Christian Leadership.  A former Texas Baptist Minister of Music, Bill has served as Music Director for both the national and Texas conferences of Southern Baptist evangelists.  His deep baritone voice provides the "anchor" for this family music ministry.

Ivy Jean Dailey Sky-Eagle is a native of Port Arthur, Jefferson County, Texas.  An Honor Graduate of Stephen F. Austin High School, she attended Baylor University on a full academic scholarship.  As a Baylor student, Ivy Jean sang in the internationally-acclaimed Chapel Choir, under the direction of Dr. Euell Porter.  She received her Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Sociology and a minor in Psychology. After her graduation, she began traveling with Bill in the ministry of evangelism.  With her lovely alto voice, Ivy Jean sings duets with Bill.  Also, as the family's Sound Technician, she has charge of all sound equipment used in the family’s music ministry, and is Chief Financial Officer of the Bill Sky-Eagle Evangelistic Association, Inc.

The Sky-Eagles, married since 1972, have one daughter, Melissa, who traveled full-time with her parents from the age of  nine days. Tutored by her mother from kindergarten through high school, Melissa was the first home-schooled National Merit Scholar in North Texas. She attended Texas Christian University on academic and music scholarships, graduating first in her class with a 4.0 grade point average.  Melissa is an award-winning pianist who began playing for church worship services at the age of eight. At age 12, she recorded "My Tribute," her first piano solo album. Her recording, “Piano Worship and Praise” was released in 2002.

At the age of fifteen, Melissa traveled to Russia to study at the Moscow Conservatory of Music; she has studied piano and performed at the Chautauqua Institution, Chautauqua, New York, the Russian Pianism Institute, the New Orleans International Piano Institute and the University of Nevada at Las Vegas’ Piano Festival and Institute.

Melissa completed her Master of Music in piano performance at the Peabody Conservatory of Music of The Johns Hopkins University on a full-tuition graduate fellowship and teaching assistantship. Melissa received her Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music in Los Angeles in May, 2006. Since 2003, she has taught piano at California Baptist University in Riverside, CA.
